Ok, so I'm taking the Steeles 60 bus (http://www3.ttc.ca/Routes/60/Map.jsp) to Steeles Ave. West and Jane Street. I'm getting off at that intersection and need to travel about 2km north from there. A York Region Transit bus goes up there; can I use my TTC transfer to get onto that bus?
Thanks in advance.|||No , you can Not Transfer. YRT however charge by distance and wouldn't`t cost much more.
The ttc do go beyond their boundaries and normally charge for it.
Not too long ago a ttc driver kicked a 14 year old girl off the bus because she did not have the fare....it was 11:00 pm.|||No, you will need to pay York Region fare when you get on the YRT bus.
There are, however, some situations where you can transfer from TTC to YRT, such as when you are on a TTC bus that is running in York Region (e.g. on TTC route 105 on Dufferin north of Steeles). In those cases you can get a Zone 3 transfer from the TTC driver that will let you transfer to a YRT bus without paying again.|||No, TTC and York Region are different systems and owned by different people. and are in different cities, you have to pay a extra fair.|||Don't think so, sounds like the TTC and YRT are different groups anyways. TTC even has many routes where you have to pay an extra fare while on the same bus once it hits a certain point!
