Symptoms of different female issues? HSV, BV, or Yeast infection?

I have HSV and I get cold sores around my mouth occasionally during times of stress,etc. Just recently, I had two simultaneous outbreaks. I am afraid I might have transferred it to my genital region, although I am meticulous about washing my hands in hot soapy water and not touching any sores. I have occasional itching, with some raised red bumps. When I get a cold sore I notice itching and tingling followed by clear fluid filled blisters. These blisters then burst and then soon crust over with a yellow/green crust until they heal. I have not noticed these stages with the bumps in my genital region. I noticed the first bump near my vaginal opening, and it was somewhat painful and looked like a lesion; however, I never noticed stages(I kept watching it). Now, I have itching in a certain area just inside my labia, with red raised bumps. They are so small that I cannot tell if they are fluid filled or not. It itches, but no pain is present. The past few days I have noticed a change in my vaginal discharge. I have noticed somewhat of an odor, and the discharge appears to be much thicker and whiter (yellowish sometimes), and there seems to be more of it. I have NOT noticed pain inside my vaginal canal. I have had a yeast infection before, in which case I had itching and rawness all over my vulva and inside my vagina (these symptoms are not the same). I have had the same partner for 3 years. We do not have intercourse, and he does not have HSV to his knowledge (i.e., no breakouts). What could be the culprit of these symptoms? Does genital herpes cause this type of discharge?|||It could be an infection or just a normal discharge. I recommend vesiting the site in the source for more info.

Genital Herpes?? Please help!?

Does genital herpes cause this type of discharge?|||Just because your boyfriend has never had an outbreak does not mean he does not have genital herpes. Many people have it for decades with no symptoms but can still transmit to others. HSV is generally not part of an STD screen unless you specifically ask for it. It is very unlikely that you transferred it to yourself genitally. The only way for you to tell for sure if you have HSV1 genitally is to have a lesion swabbed and typed. You can have a blood test done to see if you have HSV1 or HSV2 but it will not tell you the location. Since you have cold sores you more than likely have HSV1 orally. You should wait at least 12 weeks since the time you think you may have contracted it for a blood test. There would be no sense in having your blood tested for HSV1. If you decide to test for HSV2 the Western Blot is the most accurate test.|||It could be an infection or just a normal discharge. I recommend visiting the site in the source for more info.

Can't download new black ops maps?

I bought 1200 points for my xbox to download the new maps but it says its not available in my location. Anybody know how to change my region or any body know how to transfer points to another account, because I really don't wanna spend more money on points.

I've already contacted xbox via email like 4 hours ago and still no reply!. I Need a solution that doesn't cost please!!!!!!!!!!!!!|||yeah me nether.. lame right! Hopefully someone answers soon..

Stationed in Germany and pregnant is it possible to go back to the states to give birth?

I know the option is given to pregnant female soldiers but I am the spouse my husband is active duty I do not want to be EROD home which I know that is an option I just want to be able to go home to give birth then be able to come back to Germany which the tricare website stated "when a sponsor deploys if returning to the U.S. for more than 60 days, you should transfer your enrollment to appropriate stateside region" Now this leaves me thinking will they try to take away my housing and COLA for here in Germany The reason I want to go home is because I have a 2 1/2 year old and Im pregnant my husband will be deployed when I have the baby there would be no way he is able to make it for the birth which I dont mind but while I give birth there is no one to provide care for my daughter and I dont trust anyone here in Germany with my daughter I know they have things called Family Care Plans which are mainly for single solider parents or both military parents but wouldnt this kinda fall under that category? I am very confused and I know I need to talk with tricare and my husbands commander to get further information but I am just trying to get as much information as I can before I start making request

Thanks in advance for your help|||no. if you leave( assuming your doctor lets you leave and that any doctor stateside would even be willing to take you as a new paitient) you will forfeit Command sponsorship after 30 days.

at that point you lose COLA, he loses base housing if applicable, (or OHA) and you will not be p[emritted to return.|||Yes, your husband will be allowed to come back home though it will take up time as personal vacation.|||I'd talk to your doctor. Probably travel back to the State at YOUR expense...and the return at your expense. You don't have any friends you can trust? That's PATHETIC! I thought military wives stuck together. When my wife was laid up and I was at sea (we were stationed in Sardinia, an island north of Sicily and west of Italy), my division officer's wife took care of things at my house, as well as 4 other Navy enlisted wives. And we didn't even ASK anyone. They all VOLUNTEERED. Guess the Army wives are a lot different than Navy wives. Unlike the Army, WE take care of our own.

Changing your country on Xbox LIVE?

My friend recently moved from British Columbia to the states, and she can't rent any movies on her Xbox because it's 'not available in this region'. Is there any way she can change the country on her account? If starting over is the only answer, is there any way she can transfer her achievements and stuff to a new account?|||No to both questions, I'm afraid.|||There is no way to do this on your own.

However, if you call microsoft xbox customer support at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and explain the situation, they will help you to solve it if something can be done.

Is it wrong that I'm looking forward to a three-month respite from my wife?

A couple of our friends moved to a beautiful part of the state where homes are less expensive and better, along with schools, than they are here; so my wife and I have been inspired to make a similar move to that region. It's about 4 hours away.

Well, the other couple is quite miserable being apart, as the husband still needs to work downstate while awaiting a transfer. They are depressed about the separation on both ends.

If my wife and I land a home there, we will be in the same boat. She will move there with our daughter to start school, and I will stay downstate for at least a few months awaiting a transfer of sorts in the new region. I will be there every weekend and use up accrual days to try to stretch the weekends whenever possible.

But now my wife, seeing our friends, is worried if she, too, will have separation issues.

Meanwhile, I'm kind of looking forward to the break, as she can be quite needy. Maybe she will learn some self-reliance.

Are my feelings wrong? Don't lots of married couples -- maturely -- spend time apart; for example truck drivers, military, etc., etc.?|||My friends who have needy wives are constantly being rung on the cell phone. We can't go anywhere without them getting a call every half hour. "Honey, how many pork chops should I buy. I can always freeze them." While we are at a NASCAR race or something. That's what you are up for if you are apart for three months.|||thats making your relationship strong. first find a home and then get transfered so she wont loose out and you wont loose out|||He may also have been looking forward to it, but reality set in after a little time.

In a couple, who has made the right choices, and found that person who truly compliments them, a symbiotic relationship develops also on the physical level. There is a reason why humans were designed to be monogamous. It comes down to the sexual experience that goes beyond pleasure and reproduction.

Seminal plasma (fluid carrying semen) and vaginal fluids contain addition chemicals that the other sex needs. Chemicals in seminal plasma help strengthen the Uterine Wall, not only making it stronger for the carrying of a fetus, but also because the uterus provides physical support for other organs, such as the bladder and the intestinal tract. For males, vaginal fluid reinforces their immune system and affects future production of semen. But, there鈥檚 a downside.

The human body adapts to the specific molecular makeup of the seminal plasma and vaginal fluid. The two bodies develop a symbiotic relationship that becomes dependent upon the other. Having multiple partners keeps these functions in constant disarray, always trying to adapt to a new molecular makeup, affecting the overall health of the individual.

This is one of the reasons, and benefits, of developing a long term monogamous relation. For men, there are additional reasons.

A married male lives 20 years longer than a single male, on average. Aside from the physical symbiosis, because a woman provides emotional support, he has less stress, an overall cause of frequent death in males.

For a female, her reproductive and sexual health last longer, not only with the ability to reproduce into her 40s and even 50s, but also continue the ability for sexual pleasure well into the later years.

A monogamous couple become a single, symbiotic unit, standing ready to take on what the world throws at them. They provide the umbrella of strength for the family and the protection of the children. They are core from which the children draw their knowledge and experience of what a family should be, so that they may follow the example of the parents, when they reach maturity and venture out into the world.

This is what it is truly like to be in a relationship, when you make the right choices.|||I don鈥檛 think its a good idea to tell your wife that you think this is a good idea because she is needy. Separations can be both a blessing and a curse. I am a military wife, and have been through two deployments and numerous weeks through out the years of training when my husband is away, the time apart can be nice it can help us to rekindle the relationship. It take more work to keep a relationship strong when your not together and but the times you are together are amazing it makes the time apart bearable. Now the bad thing about times apart they can amplify your problems and you may find that you would rather stay apart鈥?. I have seen this happen too many times to count. You both have to decided if you are willing to put the work in to keep the relationship strong distance is hard, talk about your fears (or your wife鈥檚) and think about what buying this house will mean you鈥檙e your family and decided if it is worth it. Good luck!|||There's NO reason why this just couldn't work out for you. As you stated, there could/would be times where you could take a long wk. end %26amp; be w/your family %26amp; it's not that bad. It's not like it would be for "forever". Yes, "truckers", "salespeople" also are on the road for periods of time, so that might not be as bad as you all think in the long run. It's rough moving %26amp; being separated, but like I said, it's NOT forever, %26amp; it IS "doable". IF it's going to save you money in the long run, be in a nice area, what the heck do you have to loose. At lots of times in our lives we DO have to sacrifice for the things we want. But in the end, it's all worth it. Plan some long wk. ends w/them, do things together, %26amp; you'd have a LOT to look forward to after you're all finally together. Yes, it all does make sense...Best to you...:)|||Umm. A lil advice, when asking something like this a screen name might help. Anyway.. Its totally normal and will most likely make your relationship much stronger. I am leaving for 10 days soon and I am looking forward to it as well. 1. because I hope that missing each other will make our love stronger, 2. will make sex better. distance makes the heart grow fonder. Ohh and when I first met my husband, I went away for 5 days, during that time we realized that we were in love each other and got engaged a month later.

--Papa Bear thats a cool post.|||You give me the impression that you don't really like your wife...Check your morals and agendas.|||I can understand your feelings. Maybe too well, because I understand the part of wanting to be away from your spouse more than most. I would be all giddy with excitement if my spouse announced he was leaving for 3 months. Yippee! Now, is that a good thing? Well, no, not if you're in love with your spouse and want a close, loving relationship. I've finally had to admit the futility of that ever happening for me. It took me a very, very long time, too!

Okay, now, back to you. You have hope of some day having a closer, happier marriage, but right now you're still working out some of the kinks, sorting through issues, solutions and compromises. So, you are looking at things from a different perspective than I am. I think that for you and your wife, this will be a good test for your marriage. It has the potential of strengthening the bonds, as well as the bonus of teaching your wife some self-reliance. You could end up appreciating and trusting each other more, and have greater acceptance, understanding and respect for each other. The negative side to this is, if your marriage is already weak, this could break it. It's really up to the two of you whether it drives you apart or brings you closer.

My husband was a business executive turned truck driver. I don't think the fact that he was away a lot had anything to do with the downfall of our marriage. If anything, I believe that is responsible for us staying married so long. His behavior caused our marriage to fail, and his being away is why I could put up with it for so long.

A strong marriage can survive anything, but both people have to work at it.

I'm having trouble transferring a save from my PC to my PS3.?

I make a folder in my flash drive called PS3, inside it one called SAVEDATA and then inside it I add the saved file, just like I hear everywhere I ask.I plug the flash drive in the PS3, go to save data utility, but it says the data is corrupted.I have no clue what I did wrong.And yes, I did make sure it was from my region.|||When you put the usb drive in , and goto saved game data- then it should show the usb drive- highlight usb drive press X - then Highlight the game save you want to copy to the ps3 and press Triangle. - Select Copy.---

Your Jump drive File structure Should look Like this for Game Saves to be recognized-

* PS3 (Case sensitive folder name)

* inside PS3 Folder there should be a folder Called SAVEDATA

* Within the SAVEDATA folder there should be Folders Called

(blu........)

So if your BLU.... is not in the SAVEDATA folder and the SAVEDATA folder is not in the PS3 folder on the jump drive just create a new folder name it PS3 then open that folder and create a new folder and name it SAVEDATA then open that folder and move the BLU....file folder or folders into there. The ps3 should recognize it no problem then .|||You should just download it from the PS3s Web browser it automaticly goes where it needs to go.

Which of the following is not a step in transcription?

-RNA polymerase unwinds the double helix of the transfer RNA

-RNA polymerase attaches to a gene's promotor region on a strand of DNA

-RNA polymerase adds complementary RNA nucleotides to the growing strand of RNA

-RNA polymerase unwinds and separates the DNA strands|||D is not ( a, b and c, are alright)|||Why should RNA polymerase unwind transfer RNA and where is double helix in transfer RNA? This is an inappropriate statement.

What are some uses of fibre optics?

Glass fiber is transparent in region of wavelengths

位 = 1300 ... 1550 nm

How much data in bits per second (bps) can be transferred through such cable WITHOUT ERRORS? Lets assume dismal signal to noise ratio SNR = 1 = 0dB.|||I'll take a guess.

You need a sufficient length so there is a 1 wavelength difference between your upper and your lower wavelength signals. This would allow you to send a data packet from destructive to constructive to destructive interference.

(You should be able to trick out your signal processing to get down to 1/2 wavelength difference because all you are looking for is a change from on to off or off to on. Further, you could probably trick out the signal processing to handle 1/4 wavelength difference. But I'm just going for the single wavepacket)

1300nm * x = 1550 *x-1

1300/1550 = (x-1)/x = 1-1/x

x = 6.2

d = x * 1300 nm

d = 3844 nm/bit

According to wiki, the index of refraction is ~ 1.48 for fibre optical glass. Therefore the time to transmit one bit is:

t = c/n *1/d

and the bits/sec is 1/t

data rate = 3e8m/s *1/1.48 * 1/(3844e-9m/bit)

= 5.27e13 bits/sec

..........

Of course if 位 is for a vacuum, not in glass, then you can ignore the index of refraction and the data rate is

d.r. = 7.8 e13 bits/sec

And if you could simply use 位/2, your data rate is pushed up to

d.r. = 15.6 e13 bits/sec

And if you could push it up to 位/4, your data rate is pushed up to

d.r. = 31.2 e13 bits/sec|||Come on Track. Don't be angry. I just ran out the Shannon鈥揌artley theorem and got 3.72e13 bits/sec which is a factor of 2 less than my vacuum derived information rate. Not bad for an independent derivation.

EDIT: Hey el_santuario, Does it Use Single-Mode Fiber?|||As of right now, you can have 4xOC-192 (SONET) or 4xSTM-64 (SDH) in ONE wavelength for a total of 40 Gbps! And if you take into consideration that most SONET/SDH networks can use DWDM to put between 48 to 96 wavelengths in a single fiber, that would give us ... let me see... for 10G optical signals... a 960G total bandwidth!! And if you use the 40G signals (let's use 48 wavelengths for this case as I haven't seen the first DWDM system using 96 wavelengths with 40G optical signals) a total of 1920Gigs/sec!!!! And I know they are already working in the new 100G standard for DWDM!! So make your math!

I need help renaming my mp3 files?

I have mp3 files that I want to put on my mp3 player, but whenever I put them on most of them show up in the "unknown artist" region. I want to know how I can manually put in the song name and artist name, so that when I transfer the mp3 files to the mp3 player they will be correctly put according to artist and song name. Can someone help?|||Go to the raw song file[it'll be like a musical note labeled mp3 icon] wherever it's saved at.

Right click it and click rename.

You could also go into windows media player if you want to be more specific, just go to the songs,name,artist,album etc. And right click it.

Hope I helped!

Is Stoonybrook a medical school or a university?

I was thinking of applying to Suffolk County Community College for two years in Nursing first and then transfer to Stoonybrook University for my four year degree. Is this a medical school? I read on their website it said, "As the only SCHOOL OF MEDICINE in the region, we offer excellent research and clinical opportunities." I still would like to attend this University because my friend went to this school to become nurse. Here's the school's website:

Why doesn't The South American Union want anything to do with nuclear weapons?

UNASUR that constitutes the basis for a new liaison, on security field, for the countries of the region.

Measures are based on:

1. Exchange of information and transparency

UNASUR member countries agreed to create a network to exchange information on defense policies; to provide information on the organization, functions and procedures of the Ministries of Defense; to supply information of troops, weapons and equipments of their military forces; to establish an information on transfer and acquisition registration of equipment and conventional weapons.

Likewise, a mechanism to notify and register the comprehensive text of Intra-regional and Extra-regional Cooperation Agreements on Defense and Security, before the UNASUR, is being developed.

Regarding defense expenditure, UNASUR member states will inform on the previous tax year; they will forward, gradually, the defense budgets of the last five years to the South American Defense Council; and they will report on the national defense budget.

2. Intra and extra-regional military activities.

UNASUR member states should notify, in advance, to the corresponding border member countries and to the UNASUR about any maneuver, deployment or military exercise, on land, air or sea, properly planned, as soon as possible.

In the same way, progress of military exercises will be notified; military observers of the UNASUR countries will be invited to international exercises; and, mechanism of communications between military border forces will be established in order to coordinate and report on their activities.

3. Measures in the security field

UNASUR agreed to coordinate activities between two or more UNASUR countries in order to prevent and suppress transnational crimes; to develop and improve national systems to fight bypasses, smuggling and illegal uses of weapons; and to adopt the necessary measures for prevent and obstruct the presence or action of outlawed armed groups that exercise violence of any nature. Likewise, to fight organizations or persons that have participated in terrorism acts and to investigate and prosecute persons related to these activities, were other of the commitments made.

UNASUR member states reiterated their most vehement repudiation to every break of the democratic and constitutional order and to any attempt of coup d鈥櫭﹖at, as well as their commitment of not providing any type of support to organizations or persons that participate in coup d鈥櫭﹖ats.

4. Guarantees

For the first time, the states of the region will formally guarantee that cooperation agreements on defense from which they are parties and that entail certain level of presence in their territories of military or civil personnel and/or armament and equipment that come from a state of the region or extra-regional would not be use as a way to attempt against sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity of South American states.

Cooperation agreements on defense concluded by the UNASUR member states will include an express clause that would assure the respect of the principles of equal sovereignty of the states, territorial integrity and inviolability and non-intervention in domestic affairs of the other states. Similarly, South American states forbid the use or threat of use of force, as well as any type of military aggression or menaces to stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the other member states. In addition, it is guaranteed that South America would be conserved as a zone free of nuclear weapons.

5. Compliance and verification

According to the mandate of Heads of State of UNASUR 鈥揷ollected in the Decision of Bariloche鈥?verification of the situations in the borders will be performed and the resulting studies will be present for consideration of the Council of Heads of State and Government, in order to consider the curse of actions to follow. Likewise, a voluntary mechanism of visits to military facilities was established with the aim of promoting the exchange of information and experiences concerning strategies, methods and policies for controlling the borders.|||Because they understand the importance of life and don't want them?

Finding Energy using specific heat and volume?

How much solar energy (kJ) would have to be transferred to a 167.0 foot length of asphalt highway that is 44.5 feet wide and 22.1 centimeters deep in order to raise the temperature 1.00 oC ?The average density of asphalt is 721 kg/m3The specific heat of asphalt is 0.920 kJ/kg-oCEnter .

Do I calculate the volume of the region? I am unsure. Can someone guide me.|||Yeah. First calculate the Volume

Multiply the 3 dimension and get:

167ft(1m/3.281ft) x 44.5ft(1m/3.281ft) x 22.1cm(1m/100cm)

Volume = 152.66m^3

Now get the Mass

Mass = Volume x Density

Mass = 152.66m^3 x 721kg/m^3

Mass = 110,066.8 kg

Now you want to find out the amount of solar energy in kJ to raise the temp by 1C.

Q = mc(deltaT)

Q = 110,066.8kg(0.920kJ/kg-C)(1C)

Q = 101,261.45 kJ|||Yes, Volume is required to obtain the total mass of Asphalt.

167ft x 12in/ft x 2.54cm/in = 5,090cm = 50.9m

44.5ft x 12 x 2.54 = 1,356cm = 13.6m

22.1cm = 0.221m

0.221 x 13.6 x 50.9 = 153m鲁

153m鲁 x 721kg/m鲁 = 110,302kg of Asphalt.

S.H. = 0.920kJ/kg/掳C...Temp. increase = 1掳C

110,302kg x 0.920kJ/kg/掳C x 1掳C

= 101,478kJ (101.478MJ of Heat Energy (Solar).

Don't you think it is funny when people break down the PKK problem into a kurdish struggle for equal rights

People from abroad see no problem in saying "Of these kurds want equal rights, give it to them and get over with it". OK, then I say to them, kurds DO have equal rights, since 85 years, with the declaration of the turkish republic. Then comes the question "They are very poor so bring their area to western standards" I say to that: "Maybe it is because they are a lazy and undisciplined people and await everything from the state, isn't it more logical to compare their status to northern iraq(which is improving thanks to huge amount of money pumped into the region by the US), syria and iran instead of the turkish west? Even italy has disparities between north and south. And we do transfer them funds for social security, free lunch, free money. They still want investment from the state because even their own businessmen are unwilling to invest in the region.

Most kurds want to move to big cities to make it big there, not by living a honest life but being a gangster. These are all facts.|||I'm confused... who said this, "We have to regain the trust of the people. Show them that we care. It is not easy." I think you wrote that about the Kurds.

You really think most Kurds want to be gangsters?

And for those who do, do you think living under the treat of village guards and the PKK and the police has made them see violence as a part of life? Social problems like these don't get fixed over night.

By the way, Turkey did not illegally invaded Cyprus. They aided other Turks that are rightful owners of Norther Cyprus in their struggle for survival. They did not steal anything or took away people's homes either... What history books are you reading?

my response to the question: I don't understand the struggle for rights issue either. Turkey hosts many different ethnic groups and religions, and everyone is a Turkish citizen, and every Turkish citizen is granted same rights... Not all Kurdish-Turks are a member of PKK either. And PKK is not a political party, it is a killing machine that even kills Kurds. There are Kurdish-Turks (meaning Kurdish people of Turkey, or Turkish citizens that are Kurds) represented in political parties in Turkey anyway. So I am not also sure why such an agenda is brought up in the international community.|||Read from my folders:

The Demir family home was searched and the whole family was hauled off for interrogation because the Kapici didn't know the correct address and they were the only Kurds in the building and the police found a copy of Le Maniac comic book in the house. (It isn't a crime.) The family was separated, the women (mother and daughter) were held seperately without charges for 48 hours and the men were held for half a day longer, also without charges.

Mr Baycan was beaten beyond recognition for over two weeks, his rectum had to be sewn back together from police torture. His crime, was delivering blankets to Iraqi refugees, women and children who crossed the border after the first Iraq war.

Mr Cihan was kidnapped and held by off duty police officers until his father paid ransom for him. His father was told: You know who we are, you can't go to the police.

Mr Avca was leaving the school cafeteria with a friend when the police jumped him and beat him, He and his friend were held and beaten for two days. He was never charged, the explanation was: mistaken identity. Mr Avca disappeared 3 months later, his family hasn't heard from him in three years. No one knows what happened to him. His classmate is also missing.

These are the rights Kurds get.

How should I handle my annoying co-workers?

I transferred to a new region with my company.The people are very rude.There is a group of girls that laughs at everything.I politely greet them but pretty much stay to myself and ignore their comments and stares. But my new position entails me to work on machines with another individual.The lady I worked with was ordering me around.I am new so I basically tried to listen and do the things she was telling me to do.Her tone was very rude in my opinion.She kept telling me to do things in a very demanding way, so I told her that she was being bossy.She became all defensive like I was being a b*%26amp;ch.I was like, I don鈥檛 mind her showing me what to do because I need to learn the work, but I don鈥檛 need her talking down to me like a dog. She was like she didn鈥檛 mean anything by it, it's just that we were so busy and that is the way she talks.Last night I worked with another person like that.I try to get through the night, but it is driving me.Looking for another job, but in the meantime.....|||People often wear masks. I have had many similar experiences and the "harsh" people often are just masking turmoil. As for the cliquey girls, I am sure they felt like you when they arrived, and found it easier to conform than challenge. Don't give up it will take time but I am sure you will eventually feel comfortable.|||I had the same experience at my work recently and it came to the point where i couldn't take it anymore and had to quit. I dealt with very bossy and conniving girls for two months, and tried to quit but the managers knew i was a great worker and convinced me to stay. Nothing changed so I wrote a letter about why I chose to quit. They felt horrible about my treatment, and actually fired a couple of the girls that i had issues with. What YOU need to do is start keeping a log of every single situation that occurs on a daily basis that is making you want to quit. When you do quit, write a letter to your boss saying that these are the reasons why it's not working out...there are certainly people at work that are impossible for you to work with, and that you hope future new employees don't receive the same treatment as you. if they like you as an employee they'll ask you to stay, if not, at least they will know how new employees are treated and will try to make a change.|||i am sorry you are having a difficult time in a new environment. just be yourself and try to continue to be yourself. if the bossy attitude persist than very politely ask her if she could talk to you in a different tone that you find it very offensive and disrespectful. if that doesn't work maybe you could speak to your supervisor. i hope it gets better.

Why does the ocean not boil or freeze solid in different regions of the world?

a. the latent heat of fusion and vaporization balance the heat energy inputs and outputs

b. heat is able to be transferred to water vapor

c. heat is transported by oceanic and atmospheric circulation

d. the thermal inertia of water is low in certain regions|||A.

Think of the heating/cooling curve of water. There is a plateau at the freezing point and the boiling point. Can I please have some help with one question?

Islands in the middle of the oceans (for example, Great Britain, Hawaii, Bermuda) tend to have more stable climates with smaller temperature fluctuations than regions of the same mass surrounded by land (for example, continents). Use your knowledge of heat energy, specific heat, and heat transfer to explain these facts.|||Well, in terms of specific heat, water is 4,184 Whereas virtually all common land based elements have specific heats of less than 1,000. This means that water takes ALOT more energy to heat up and cool down than say, a sheet of copper. Because of this great energy requirement, water retains heat much longer than other substances (this is greatly attributed to its molecular structure). While the sun may beat down on a patch of earth, it will raise in temperature fairly quickly. When the sun shines down on land surrounded by water however, the water absorbs the heat, but because it has such a high specific heat, the temperature increase is much less than that of just the plot of earth.

IN terms of heat transfer... The water surrounds the land which means it diffuses (or absorbs) heat energy from gradients of higher to lower concentration in order to equalize the energy. However, because of the sun, clouds, rotation of the earth, and many other factors, this equilibrium is impossible except in small scale controlled experiments.|||will give you a hint, hydrogen has one of the highest specific heat capacity, and water contains hydrogen. Now if you use your noggins, instead of me telling you the answer, you'll appreciate the knowledge of chemistry.

Does Cuba represent a biological or bacteriological warfare threat to America?

International affairs:

The world and the USA believes Cuba "has at least a limited offensive biological warfare" program and may be transferring its expertise to other countries hostile to the United States. We are concerned that such technology could support biological warfare programs in those states. Cuba might be attempting to develop weapons of mass destruction.

The State Department's top nonproliferation official, called on Cuba to cease transfers of biological weapons technology to "rogue states and to fully comply with all of its obligations under the Biological Weapons Convention." this remarks were prepared for delivery to the Heritage Foundation, a conservative research group. For four decades Cuba has maintained a well-developed and sophisticated biomedical industry, supported until 1990 by the Soviet Union. This industry is one of the most advanced in Latin America, and leads in the production of pharmaceuticals and vaccines that are sold worldwide. Analysts and Cuban defectors have long cast suspicion on the activities conducted in these biomedical facilities.

Secret Intelligence sources reported and concluded that Cuba might represent a significant military threat to the United States or the region. Cuba is part of Axis of Evil.

Fidel Castro cooperated with Iraq's Saddam Hussein in an active chemical and biological weapons program. The report originated in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, an online intelligence newsletter published by WorldNetDaily. Some intelligence analysts believe Castro may have unleashed that program on the U.S. in the form of West Nile Virus.

West Nile was first identified in New York City in 1999. By the end of 2002, there were 4,156 laboratory-diagnosed human cases and 284 deaths, the largest arboviral meningo-encephalitis outbreak ever recorded in North America,

To conduct a bacteriological attack, a country or a terrorist group does not need to have any sophisticated means of delivery, such as a missile. A container the size of a five-pound sugar bag can bring bacteriological materials capable of causing over 50,000 casualties in an urban area, depending on the flow.

Several theories on the origins of Serbs.Iranian Theory, the Sarban tribe in Afganistan/Pakistan, which is it?

The Serboi were probably Sarmatian (Iranian) tribe, who lived in Eastern Europe, to the north of the Caucasus near the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. The earliest historical records about Serboi dates from the 1st century, in the works of the historian Tacitus and geographer Pliny. The Sarmatian Serbs, it is argued, intermarried with the indigenous Slavs of the region, adopted their language and transferred their name to the Slavs. The Byzantine Emperor Constantine VII Porphyrogenitos, in his Book Of Ceremonies66, calls the Croats and Serbs "Krevatas and Sarban", who were located between Alania and Tsanaria. The information that Serbs were mentioned under the name Sarban is important because there is a Pashtun tribal group in Afghanistan named Sarbans, and that could mean that these Pashtun Sarbans are ancestors or relatives of Sarmatian Serbs.

What do you believe??|||There are a variety of tribes who have carried names similar to "Serb" -- Serboi and Sarban, as you mentioned, but also Sorbian (Slavic Germans), Spori, Spali and a variety of others in many different neighborhoods of the globe.

However, historical evidence does get a little more credible when there is at least some provable relationship between the name of the tribe, some linguistic and/or physical similarities, and the present day location of the Serbs in Europe.

Ptolemy (2nd century) relates the name "Serbs" to the city of Serbinum in present day Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Procopius (5th century) refers to the "Spori" and there is some solid linguistic evidence that this relates to both the Balkan Serbs and the German Sorbians. The 10th century scholar-emperor Constantine VII Porphyrogenitos', puts a people called the "Serboi" in the same context and region as the Croats in Pannonia and Dalmatia.

One must bear in mind that there could also be (slight or major) differences in a name that a people call themselves and what name someone from another culture and using another language uses for them. So this people in the same neighborhood with similar names are likely to be the same people, dubbed slightly differently by different authors.

Although I am an American, my own roots came from Hercegovina and I can trace my family line back about 450 years as "a Serb" on both sides of my family tree.

I was lucky enough to have been able to participate in the National Geographic Genome Project that took my DNA (and my brother's) and genetically traced my family's migration into Europe along with all other Europeans and the DNA that I share with other's in my group.

Before I got the results, I fully expected that -- given the Ottoman Turks conquest of the region where my family came from -- that I might show up with some Asian ancestry, even though no Turks showed up on the family tree.

But my whole family was actually stunned by the results. My family's DNA on both sides put us in Haplogroup U, and my mitochondrial ancestral journey marched right up into Scandinavia! The male line was similar, but individual ancestors were also from the Balkans and various places in Europe, including present day Germany.

So, if you combine the historical reference from 2nd century Ptolemy and 5th century Procopius to "Serboi" in their current Balkan neighborhood, the linguistic similarity of the German Sorbian to Serbian, and my own DNA as at least one example of the Serbian lineage, your theories of the Serbs coming from Indian or Persian roots are no more credible than George Bush being a direct descendant of Ghengis Khan, -- no wait, they are even less believable than that!|||The Sarmatian Serbs and Croats , intermarried with the indigenous Slavs of the region, adopted their language, and transferred their name to the Slavs. They migrated southward in the seventh century and eventually settled in the lands that now make up southern and mixed with Illyrians and Tracians

|||I believe this theory is wishful thinking on the part of those who hate Serbs and are presently in the process of stealing their land.|||Serbs are very clearly slavic and IndoEuropean.

There were about 26 ethnic groups in the Yugoslav confederation and of those there were only three which ever had any sort of a problem getting along with Serbs, and those three were the three which sided with Hitler in WW-II. The group I'd worry most about being in Europe would be Albanians.|||There is only very sporadic evidence on origin of Serbs. Have in mind that the accuracy of Roman documents has to be doubted on issues that were of less importance to the writer. I would not dare to make elaborate theories based on few sentences from various sources.

Also, I'm sceptic that a group (nation) is willing to adopt name of another group. Currently you have a lot of ethnic groups in Serbia, Slavian and others, they are intermarried, adopted the langugage, but kept their customs and name. Unless you can find good prof of Sarmatian customs and names incorporated in early Serbia's, this theory cannot be supported.|||What kind of crack are you smoking? Or maybe its some of that Albanian KLA controlled heroin. The Serbs dear boy are descendant's of the Slavic race. Ever heard of the Serbian Winged Hussars? The were very efficient at dealing with the invading Muslim hoards threatening the Serbian territory and culture.

This theory you have posted reminds me of the studies the Nazis had done to determine racial purity but In your case you are trying to dilute the proud Serb culture with this crap. I am not Serbian but have lived amongst them during the conflict in Croatia in 1992 and I can tell you I did not see any of them with vacation pictures from Iran hanging on the wall nor did I see any of them with their asses in the air pointed east. Their is a very good reason why they have a strong connection to Mother Russia.

Take the Albanian culture and where did it come from? One theory connects them to the Bangladesh culture. It is theorized that they migrated to what is known as Albania 800 years ago in order to find dryer land i.e. to many floods in the homeland. Some mixed with the Slavic culture under what conditions I do not know, which is why you see so many fair haired blue eyed Albanians. I know this culture first hand as well and some are very nice people who unfortunately live under the heavy cruel hand of the KLA but that's another sad story but Lets get back to yours.

This information I am talking about came from an Albanian Professor I met in Pristina Kosovo back in 1999. His name is Professor Mustafe Krasnici and his speciealty was Archeology of the ancient Albanians at the University in Pristina. You see the Serbs have always been in the Kosovo area and actually owned a good portion of present day Albania. The influx of the Muslim culture into the Balkan area redefined the boarders of Serbia due to hostilities over the ages. The Serbs were their first.

Funny when all this was going on never did their Bangladesh brothers bother to come and help their Albanian brothers. Wonder why? In any case Professor Mustafe Krasnici has found in his excavations evidence of the ancient Bangladesh culture in present day Albania. His paper on this was to be published but the War in Kosovo interrupted this. The evidence I recall was destroyed by some Albanian KLA dude firing an RPG into the wrong office at the Pristina University. The target was a Serb professor's office. Mistakes happen during times of hate.

So dude what do you think????.....|||In his book "Hrvati i Srbi, dva stara različita naroda" Dr. Dominik Mandić disputes the theory that the Serbs are of Iranian origin and claims that they were actually an Alarodian people. He dismisses the Iranian theory because it is based solely on the fact that the area where the Serboi ethnonym is first mentioned (near the Sea of Azov) was home to the Iranian Sarmatians, and this led historians to falsely jump to the conclusion that the Serboi themselves were also Iranian. Mandić notes that Pliny himself does not state that the Serboi are of Iranian stock. If the Serbs were an Indo-Iranian people, Pliny probably would have said so. Furthermore, the non-Slavic substrate in modern Serbian is not Iranian.

In the Balkans during Roman rule, there was a city called Gordoserbon, which was assumed to derive from "city of the Serbs", gord being the Slavic word for city. However, it seems unlikely the Latin-speaking Romans would use the Slavic word for city to name one of their cities. Mandić proposes that Gordoserbon actually gets its name from the city of Gordium, the capital of Phrygia, which he claims is the ancient homeland of the Serbs. Gordium was situated near the ancient Lydian city of Sardis. Sardis was the capital of Lydia, an ancient empire located in present day Turkey. The Lydians spoke an Anatolian language.

The Alarodian languages include two long extinct languages, the Hurrian language and the Urartian language. The Hurrian language is believed to have had a strong influence on some of the Anatolian languages, notably the Hittite language, and it is believed that Hurrians were actually not indigenous there, but were new arrivals who assimilated an earlier people who called themselves the Subar-tu. The language of these Subar-tu, whose name is not recorded, is called Subarian by linguists today, and it is believed that there was a Subarian substratum in the Hurrian language. Sumerian records mention the Subartu. Much later, Persian records mention the Sabarda, and the ancient Greek historian Herodotus mentions the Sabir in the same area, although it is not clear what, if any, connection the Sabir/Sabarda have to the Subar-tu, or if the similar-sounding names are just coincidental. According to Mandić, the Serbs get their name from those ancient Subartu.|||I don't believe that. I believe that most of the Serbs are indiginous Slavs who originated in the north and Western Russia areas, who migrated south.|||Serbs come from Eastern Russia / Poland / Ukraine, as do most, if not all, Slavs. There were no Serbs in the Balkans prior to the VI century. Ancient writers are the only source we have, but their accounts are not reliable. All the sources listed in the previous answers don't go beyond Tacitus.

Just because some names sound similar to "Serb" doesn't mean they have anything to do with Serbs.Every ancient tribe was known by many names, due to a plethora of different pronunciations and spellings for one and the same people (again, proof of unreliability of ancient sources).

What you folks forget is the fact that the Serbs were known as "Rascii". They did not get their present name until much, much later.|||According to St. Nikolaj Velimirovic, the Srbs history is a profound mystery. According to him Srb (Serb) is the only national name in Europe whose meaning has been lost. It only linguistic links is r which is both a vowel in the Serbian and in the Eurasian Indian languages. St. Nikolaj concludes that the ancient Srbs came from India originally, this explains some of the ancestral Serbian words which have Old Hindi and Sanskritic origin that he discovered in the language. The concept of destiny is also strong with the Serbs, and their destiny as a people of The Lord Christ is both a profound mystery. This destiny is not a blind fate; but a providential, planned and just destiny. "This is the sort of destiny recorded in the Bible" writes the venerable St. Nikolaj the Myrrh-gusher.

Between the fourth century and the 7th one hears mention of the Serbs by certain Byzantine Emperors, amongst them St. Justinian. At that time they were called Slavs, and were a maurauding presence against the Byzantine Empire. But in time the Zupans began to accept Christ as Lord as many became mercenaries for the cause of the Byzantine Empire and embraced Christianity. It wasn't until St. Simeon the father of the of the Nemanij line that Orthodoxy not only made its mark on individuals, but on the nation state of the Srbs who to the last man became servants of the Lord Christ.

St. Nikolaj, an esteem scholar who reposed in 1956, findings on the origin of the Srbs is rarely mentioned in public debates about the matter. But if his account is correct, and I suspect that it is, then the Srbs truly are the 'first' to inhabit the lands which are now under dispute. For their coming to the lands would have had to have been during the ages of the Old Testament.

Scholars feel free to correct and offer suggestions for modification.|||it is very simple as the Serbs come from the Slavic regions of Far Eastern Russia and migrated westwards. Serb name derives from Servien from being enslaved by the Germanic tribes.

When the Serviens broke free and moved down to unoccupied/unchartered/unclaimed land known today as the Former Yugoslavia, they settled in.

You will note that all historical monuments and evidence points to Serbian roots and no evidence of Albanian civilization nor settlement.

The Serbs have zero roots in Persia and there is not any evidence to dictate they were from there.

Again, it shows how manipulative the Islamic chorus goes in their attempts to degrade other ethnic groups. Their agenda is to follow the Koran as it allows them to lie to infadels.

Blue Hawaii|||No, Serbs and Croats are Slavic people with the same roots as Bulgars, Romanians, Ukrainians, and Russians. You're attempting to link similar sounding words across languages and across continents. It just doesn't hold up.

Have a one-on-one discussion with the line supervisor to find out exactly why the employee should be fired and then help him draft the reasons why in an organized, concise, and to-the-point written recommendation. Endorse the recommendation and direct the line supervisor to fire the employee immediately. If he refuses or delays doing so, then fire the employee yourself and either fire or demote the line supervisor.

In no case should you let your boss see you as weak or indecisive, so you must take swift action.

Weak employees and supervisors can really hurt an organization. You have a moral obligation to treat people fairly and with some compassion, but you can't continue to employ people who hurt the organization because of indecisiveness, poor attitude, bad work habits, and overall poor work performance.|||i say just step up and say that's it your fired. and if there is a problem tell him to take it up with the local supervisor|||I would make the employee produce the report. Tell him like this get me the report that confirm your statement or your fired. You have 1 or 2 day(s).|||fire him and the local supervisor for refusing to send u a report|||to be fair you should ask you HR department as they should know all the little details i would of thought. Because you need people in you corner so you don't get in to trouble. Citizens advice might also be able to help?

just don't risk you job or status through it.

lucie|||This is a sticky situation indeed. Be *sure* that you comply with the law in all of the details and documentation, so that this won't come back on you. As has been suggested, your HR director (and possibly your corporate attorney) will be able to advise you of the required process. If you don't move on this quickly, your job could be jeopardized for failure to follow your supervisor's direction. Don't take that risk.

Require that the employee's local supervisor submit a complete report, and give a due date. Explain clearly that if you do not receive the report -- in your hand -- by the close of business on that day, they will themselves lose their jobs. (You may need another manager to witness the discussion and / or for the local supervisor to sign a written statement that they understand the conditions of your request -- not that they agree, but that they understand.) You will probably receive a very useful report within the allotted time.

If you do not receive a report from the employee's superior, you might resort to obtaining written or recorded eye witness accounts from the person's co-workers, clients, and / or vendors. You need documented evidence to fire this employee.

Keep your direct supervisor informed at every step of the process. I wish you well in fulfilling this task in a manner that will be a feather in your cap in your professional development.

Does the Masuda method work with Pokemon from different in game regions?

I have Pokemon black Version and I'm trying to hatch a Shiny seviper via masuda method but what I'm wondering is if it will still work because I'm using a Seviper I transferred over from Hoenn region off of my emerald and Japanese ditto from Unova as parents so I don't know if the Masuda method still will work because the Seviper wasn't originally caught or hatched in Unova and I all ready have a 100 eggs or so, so It'd be nice to know...|||The region you acquired your Pok茅mon from doesn't matter as long as the 2 Pok茅mon you're breeding are of a different language game so since your Seviper from Hoenn is more than likely from an English language game and you'll be breeding it with your Japanese Ditto then that'll definitely be possible. All Pok茅mon once they're in the DS games will be flagged with a specific language mark which will let the game know whether it's a foreign Pok茅mon or an English Pok茅mon.|||Ouch.... no, in order for the Masuda method to work they need to be from actual real-life different regions.

"The key to using the Masuda method is not to breed any two Pok茅mon, but to breed two Pok茅mon created in games of different languages. An egg resulting from such a pairing will have a higher likelihood of being Shiny. The most common way to arrange such a pairing is to use one foreign Pok茅mon and one from the game in which the breeding occurs, although the method will work in any game provided at least one of the Pok茅mon in the pair is from a language different to the language of the game cartridge."

Where should these two Hai'a members be transferred?

Story:

HAIL – Prince Saud Bin Abdul Mohsen, Emir of Hail, has ordered two officials from the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai’a) to be transferred to offices outside the region following their involvement in a vehicle pursuit that led to a complaint from a member of the public.

Al-Watan newspaper reported Tuesday that the two Hai’a members were accused of pursuing a driver who was picking up the mother and children of the family which employed him, leading him after a chase to close their house gates to prevent the Hai’a from entering.|||no big surprise for me. anyway they should be transferred to the empty quarter. there is a vice in a large volumes between lizards and snakes.|||send them to Siberia|||far far away|||I want to Remove alWatan NewsPaper and it's Presidernt "Jamal Kashughi" away, How Cheap he's.

I think we need the hai'a in saudi.. people are out of control.. it's crazy how drugs, alcohol, sex out of marriage, illegal seclution, etc. is in our country. i want them to remove as much drugs, alcohol, and prostitutes as possible.

now you're probably thinking that i'm some close-minded saudi guy.. the truth is that i've been in the usa since i was 11 (i am now 23) and i am very open-minded.. however, when it comes to religion.. there is no playing games in that. I am the first to admit that i am not very religious.. but i am 100 % against big haram things.

in my opinon, the hai'a is being biased and underrated by people. their job is very controversial in how they do it. it's expected to think that most of the time things don't go smoothly and i agree with that. i think their job is not easy.

i take my hat off and applaud them for cleaning up the country and promoting virtue and preventing vice.|||they should leave to the moon because for sure they won't find anyone there and then they can relax and drink tea...|||“collateral damage”

Please critique my paper on iraq, vaild? well written?

Operation Iraqi Freedom came into effect on March 20th 2003, with the invasion of Iraq. The initial mission and reasoning behind the operation was to disarm the Iraqi nation of their Nuclear and Chemical weapons, while attempting to decimate terrorist organizations. In the process of ridding the world of adversarial harm from the capricious nation, coalition forces would also liberate the citizens of Iraq from years of murder, censorship, and oppression. It has been almost four years since the United States’ military has occupied the country, when will be a rational and logical timetable for withdrawal, and did the Bush Administration adhere and accomplish their targeted goal.

April 9th 2003, showcased to the world the defeat of the Iraqi Army, and the fall of Baghdad: Iraq’s capital. In December of the same year, occupying forces captured the former Iraqi Dictator, Saddam Hussein, hiding in a bunker. The United States occupancy in Iraq ultimately showed no signs of Nuclear or Chemical silos, or development or research centers; which debunked the Bush Administrations initial allegations. The American Government has been trying to “rebuild” Iraq’s political structure, and with the inhabitance of American troops, the United States has been able to minimally control the country to a certain extent.

Iraq as a whole is very unstable and undoubtedly a total mess. Criticisms attacking the Bush Administration claim that this operation has been nothing but a disastrous failure. Many Americans are growing increasingly upset and angered at the Bush Administration. Accusations surrounding the Administration claim that the United States are just overseas in an attempt to seize valuable oil resources in the Middle East. The surplus of the Middle East’s oil supply has been the main argumentative sentiments enfolding the United States occupancy in Iraq.

The Middle East has long had a reputation of being an unstable region. Conflicting differences between varying religious and ethnic groups, disrupts the pugnacious area. Growing tensions between neighboring Shiites and Sunni will only lead to an escalation of violence and instability, and could induce a potential civil war throughout the country and region. While American forces have been in Iraq, many civilian rebels have been attacking American troops which only adds to the nations instability. Acts of terrorism are a daily occurrence in the country.

While many Americans believe that the United States Government should withdraw troops immediately, the onset of potential terrorist acts are imminent. While occupying Iraq, we have been able to eliminate and neutralize terrorist organizations, such as Al-Quidia; which will only hault and delay possible attacks.

As stated earlier, the main attribution for the United States’ apprehension of withdrawing troops is the possibility of civil war around the region. The current arms transfer is only heightening the volatile scare of war. Many of the nations surrounding Iraq, have been researching and acquiring weapons of mass destruction, and are audacious enough to use them.Operation Iraqi Freedom came into effect on March 20th 2003, with the invasion of Iraq. I am looking for a shetland sheltie miniature near 96080 that needs to be sold or adopted for cheap?

i live near Red Bluff California in the northern region. my dads neighbor has a miniature shetland sheltie i absolutely fell in love with. it made me want one so bad and i been wanting one for a quite a while. i was wondering if any one knew where they are for sale at for cheap or even one that needs to be adopted i am very poor and would need it transferred here.|||Search for a Shetland Sheepdog rescue group in your area, in local dog publications and the internet. Their adoption fees are much less than a breeder's price would be. But be aware that you will be required to supply references from a vet and from friends who know you well. You will probably also be subject to a site visit, so that the rescue group can be assured that your home is safe and appropriate for a dog. Be aware also that the rescued dog may have some problems, perhaps from abuse or other cause of its needing to have been rescued. Adopting a dog is a serious commitment.

All the best with your search.|||Very poor = bad pet owner. You can't possibly afford to properly care for a dog with no money.
