What happens to a federal firefighter that masterbated at work to computer porn and gets caught?

My husband's co-worker was caught masterbating at work (at a naval base) on the computer in the "common area" at just past midnight. Everyone is very angry that he did not do his "business" in his own private room and even more irate that he was using the computer to view the porn in the day room, where they all watch tv, visit with family and what not...

What can happen to him? Can he lose his job (this is what we are all hoping for) or will he just get a slap on the wrist? Last year they all had to sign paperwork after an internet training class regarding what they could and could not view on the internet (porn being a big no-no)

The computer tower has been taken to a place in the region for investigation on the history (they all have badges they insert in the keyboard to sign on to the computer) and everyone is asking for a new computer and chair.

If he doesn't lose his job, or get transferred, what can you come up with to make his life miserable for a few weeks?|||That guys career in the miltary is over. Most likely he will go to trial. Either get booted out of the military, or loose rank over it.|||This guy wasn't very smart... :)

|||Some people do have a problem differentiating their home computer from their work computer, and such inappropriate conduct on the job does warrant dismissal in most places. But unless some kid saw him or he did something to you personally, why would you want to make his life miserable? And a new keyboard and chair just because of that? C'mon. So the guy was playing with his willie, big deal. You need to get a grip because there's nothing evil about that, regardless of what anybody may have taught you in church. You can rest assured that the embarrassment alone is bad enough. Don't worry, one way or the other he probably wont stay there much longer anyway.|||As a state worker, I always wonder why we are held to a higher standard than the private sector. I've seen stuff in private sector wherein business transactions take place at strip clubs. Sex is sex. We need to get over it.|||Sounds like the firefighter will be FIRED|||They had to have a class telling them not to look at porn on the computer at work??? What a joke!!

Your hard earned tax dollars at work there ladies and gentlemen. That is why bloated government is a boil on our collective rear ends!|||First of all this guys must be an idiot ! The one question is did he blow his load all over the key board? that could also result in being charged for destroying Government property, misuse of government property. He could very well lose his job.|||I'm sure he will loose his job. If not, can you imagine the pure hell he's going to put himself into every time he sees his co-workers? He thought he was alone and got busted. He'll probably quit.|||Sounds like he was already pretty miserable if he had to resort to computer porn at work.

So he engaged in pretty bad judgment, grossed everyone out and faces discipline including loss of his job. You don't think that the shame and embarrassment of all of this will be enough?

I know you probably think you are standing up for family values and all, but that vindictive revenge thing you've got in mind is higher on my "things that are evil" scale than a lonely guy saluting his flag in the middle of the night.|||Federal employees (especially those with more than 3 years of service) are very difficult to fire. He will likely get a slap on the wrist. May very well be transferred, too.|||If he signed an agreement to avoid trash on the Internet, he will be gone quickly.

I hope that he gets treatment for this sick addiction.
